HOW TO IMITATE A BRICK OR PLASTER BRICKS!
As a mold for casting, you can take a plastic box with straight vertical walls and a smooth bottom. The size of the «bricks» depends on the idea, the main thing is that they are rectangular. It is recommended to make bricks with a thickness of 0.5-3 cm.On the walls of the form, the dimensions of the brick are marked, lines are drawn along which the form is cut.
The walls and bottom of the mold are lubricated with a soft brush dipped in a solution of soap or petroleum jelly, after which you can start preparing the gypsum. The gypsum mixture is soaked in a small jar or bowl, and it is recommended to prepare a new mixture for each brick, which should resemble sour cream in consistency, but not thicker. The newly diluted gypsum is immediately poured into the mold to the brim, the surface is leveled with a spatula or a hard, even plate. To get rid of air bubbles, you need to lightly tap the bottom and walls of the mold with your fingers. The gypsum hardens within 10-20 minutes, after that you need to turn the mold over and, using gentle taps, remove the finished brick. After that, the mold must be washed, dried and the process repeated until the required number of bricks is ready.
