Wall drywall is used for wall cladding and installation of interior partitions. Sheet parameters are the same as for ceiling.
Moisture-resistant drywall is used in rooms with high humidity. At the same time, a hood should be present in the room, and the front side of the drywall sheet should be protected with various materials: paint, ceramic tiles, primer and other coatings. The thickness of such a drywall sheet is 12.5 mm.
Fire-resistant drywall differs in that there is a special reinforcing substance in the core material. It is used to hide heating communications: radiators, pipes, etc..
Arched drywall is used to create various kinds of structures. It increases the strength of the structure, does not allow the appearance of cracks in the ceiling in the form and violation of geometric structures. The thickness of such a sheet is 6.5 mm.
To fasten the sheets, you will have to purchase other materials: metal profiles, fixing screws, gypsum glue, tape for sealing seams, putty, etc..
For fastening the sheets, I use screws or special nails. Nails are used with wide galvanized heads. If the nails are not galvanized, they should be pre-coated with linseed oil so as not to rust. If you have a special tool, it is better to use screws rather than nails. For fastening the sheets, dowels and anchors of various varieties are also used.
The sheets are attached to the profile. The profile can be rack, guide, ceiling, corner. The wall profile looks like a channel with longitudinal grooves in the flange. The guide profile is used together with the wall and serves as a guide structure. The ceiling profile is used to construct a suspended ceiling frame. The corner profile protects the outer corners and slopes from mechanical damage.
